The economic
developers from each of the sixteen counties
meet each month to provide input for regional activities
and events. This group works together to
generate leads and prospects, and to develop
regional
economic development marketing strategies.
When counties do not have a full-time
economic developer, representatives from the
Northeast Commission help provide this service and keep county
leaders informed of regional activities and
strategies that support their local economic
development priorities.
Members of the
NEED group are economic developers from each of
the sixteen counties in Northeastern North
Carolina. Each county recommends a
representative to serve as the county NEED
member.
NEED meetings are
held on the second Friday of each month at 10:30
AM at the Northeast Commission office in
Edenton. Richard Bunch of Chowan County is
the current Chairman of NEED.
