By Road (See Map)

Tractor-trailer on great road system in North Carolina's NortheastThere are a number of multi-laned highways in North Carolina’s Northeast Region to take you anywhere you need to go. Interstate Highway I-95, Interstate Quality US Highway 64; and US Highways 17, 264 and 158 place our region within a day’s drive of 75% of the U.S. population. Over 60 motor freight carriers serve the region.

 
By Air

Airplane in flightRaleigh-Durham International, Richmond International, and Norfolk International Airports are served by most major airlines with direct flights to major cities, including Charlotte, Washington, D.C., Nashville, Philadelphia, Detroit, Los Angeles and more. More than 200 destinations around the world can be reached with a single connection.

By Rail (See Map)

CSX trainNorth Carolina’s Northeast is served by CSX Transportation & Norfolk Southern railroads, along with several shortline railroads, including NC/VA Railroad, Chesapeake Albemarle Railroad, and Carolina Coastal Railways. Regional facilities offer loading and unloading, and  piggyback service. AMTRAK passenger rail service is available in nearby Rocky Mount, NC and Richmond, VA.

Aerial of a deep port in North Carolina's Northeast RegionNorth Carolina’s Northeast Region is accessible to three modern deep-water ports in Wilmington and Morehead City, NC as well as the Virginia Ports in the Hampton Roads Area of Virginia - the second busiest port on the US East Coast. A number of our business/industrial sites are less than an hour’s drive from the Port of Virginia via four-laned US Highway 17.
